Drawing I, charcoal on paper, 15 x 22, Fall 2023
The objective of this assignment was to draw a portrait using the grid method. I chose to draw my sister because I knew that she would have good photos of herself, and I have done several portraits of her in the past.
Drawing I, charcoal on paper, 15 x 22, Fall 2023
This assignment was to draw a portrait using any method we wanted. I chose to draw myself as I was readily available and I hadn't done a self portrait since I was eleven, so I wanted to see the progress I had made.
The objective of this assignment was to draw a cubist style piece using any drawing medium. I chose to use the analytical cubism style to draw my sister and brother in law, who I live with. I wanted to capture the idea that home is in the people around you, not necessarily within the walls of your house or apartment.
Drawing II, graphite on paper, 12 x 18, Spring 2024
For this assignment, we were told to choose from four plaques on the wall, each of a different facial feature. I chose the nose. I wanted to challenge myself to draw this plaque as realistically as I could.
Drawing II, graphite on paper, 9 x 12, Spring 2024
This assignment was to choose one of three print outs and draw it exactly. I chose this one because I love to draw fabric folds and ruffles.
The object of this assignment was to draw a secrtion of the art department using one-point perspective. I had a lot of fun with this project, and I really liked getting experience with drawing interior spaces.
